Tim received a B.S. Degree from Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee in December 1974. In May of 1975 he affiliated with the Provident Mutual Life Insurance Company of Philadelphia. In 1977 he obtained his Series 6 securities registration with Providor Funds, an affiliate of Provident Mutual. In 1982 he affiliated with a real estate securities firm in Nashville, where he obtained his Series 7 securities registration. In 1985 Tim affiliated with FSC Securities Corporation headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. He has since passed the Series 24 General Securities Principal exam, and in 1989 he became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™. He has also served as president of the local CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Organization as well as other volunteer positions.
After 27 years of being affiliated with FSC Securities Corporation, Tim decided it was time to recreate and rebrand his practice. In the summer of 2012 he made the biggest change in his professional career by transitioning his advisory business to Greer Capital, a Member of Advisory Services Network, LLC. In order to meet a wide range of his clients financial needs, he joined Calton & Associates, Inc. for his brokerage and mutual fund clients.
He now serves over 200 clients with over $225 million under management.
